ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

 
Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of West Tytherley & Frenchmoor Parish Council held on 12 May 2003 at 1907h at King Edward's Hall, West Tytherley

1. Present: Councillors T.Mousley (Chairman), A.Bowditch, L.Bowditch, S.Dowding, J.Guy, D.Rimmington, Clerk (D.Lyon), plus Councillor N.Whiteley (TVBC) and three members of the public

2. Apologies none

3. Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on 15 April 2002

It was proposed by A.Bowditch and seconded by J.Guy that they be signed by the Chairman as a true record of the meeting

4. Declaration of Acceptance of Office

Councillors A.Bowditch, L.Bowditch, S.Dowding, J.Guy, T.Mousley and D.Rimmington signed Declarations of Acceptance of Office witnessed by the Clerk. The Chairman welcomed Mrs Linda Bowditch, elected on 1 May 2003, to the Council.

5. Appointment of Chairman

It was proposed by Mr Mousley, seconded by Mr Rimmington, that Mr Bowditch be appointed Chairman. The proposal was carried nem.con. Mr Mousley then vacated the Chair which was taken by Mr Bowditch.

6. Appointment of Vice-Chairman

It was proposed by Mr Bowditch, seconded by Mr Dowding, that Mr Mousley be appointed Vice-Chairman. The proposal was carried nem.con.

7. Appointment of Parish Clerk

David Lyon was confirmed as Parish Clerk

8. Chairman's Annual Report

Mr Bowditch presented the Chairman's Annual Report for the year April 2002 - March 2003 (Copy Annexed to these Minutes). He added that Miss Liz Douglas had just resigned as Co-ordinator of the First Responder Scheme; there would be a meeting of those involved with the scheme in West Tytherley later in the week. It was agreed that the Chairman's report should be put on the parish website and posted on the notice boards when space was available and circulated to Councillors Action Clerk.

There being no other business the Chairman closed the AGM at 1919h
