ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of West Tytherley & Frenchmoor Parish Council held on 9 May 2005 at 1910h in King Edward’s Hall, West Tytherley

1. Present Councillors A.Bowditch (Chairman); T.Mousley (Vice-Chairman); L.Bowditch; S.Dowding; J.Guy; L.Marsden; D.Rimmington; D.Lyon (Clerk) plus Councillors M.Woodhall (HCC) and N.Whiteley (TVBC); plus J.Edwards (Footpath Warden) and J.Gimpel (Chair, West Dean Parish Council) and Inspector P.Funnell (Officer i/c Romsey Police) plus 18 members of the public.

These were signed by the Chairman, Councillor A.Bowditch, at the monthly meeting of the Parish Council held on 14 June 2004

4. Matters Arising None

5. Election of Chairman

It was proposed by Mr Dowding and seconded by Mr Guy that Mr Bowditch be elected as Chairman. The proposal was carried nem.con.

6. Election of Vice-Chairman

It was proposed by Mrs Bowditch and seconded by Ms Marsden that Mr Mousley be elected Vice-Chairman. The proposal was carried nem.con.

7. Appointment of Parish Clerk

David Lyon was confirmed as Parish Clerk

8. Chairman’s Annual Report

Mr Bowditch presented the Chairman’s Annual Report for the period April 2004 to March 2005. A copy of the Report is annexed to these minutes.

9. AOB Mrs Gimpel (Chair of the inter-parish working group) gave an update on developments at the former MOD Munitions site at Dean Hill. Brig. K.Grantham-Wright reiterated his view that the consideration should be given to using the bunkers under Dean Hill for the long-term storage of low-level nuclear waste.

There being no other business the Chairman closed the meeting at 1921h
