14 North Lane
Dear Sir,
I was born in west tytherley in 1960 at 14, north lane, a house then owned by Rief & sons sawmill (Norman Court Sawmill). My father was Jack Wheeler-Osman who sadly passed away in February, he was foreman at the sawmill in the last years of his 26 working there. I left school and worked at the sawmill from 1976-79. We left Tytherley in 1964. Does anyone have memories of the sawmill and even remember my Dad? I had 2 of my children christened in the church in 1993 and 1995. I return many times each year and especially this year with my Dad passing away, the place is so peaceful and friendly its like a compulsion to keep going back.
Regards,
Alan Wheeler-Osman
Dear Sir,
Whilst browsing on the internet in preparation for a trip to the UK from Australia I have found the West Tytherley website. Please also see my response to Conversation Thread - Early 1960's. My parents Peter and Joyce Reeks, myself Loraine and younger brother Alan, remember the Wheeler-Osman family well. My Dad did indeed actually work with Mr Wheeler-Osman at Rief and Sons all those years ago. My Mum also remembers Mrs Wheeler-Osman well. All our family are alive and well and living in Queensland, Australia. In May of this year (2007), my husband and I are both looking forward to visiting West Tytherley, and I am particularly eager to see that peaceful friendly place again.
Regards,
Loraine Wyllie (nee Reeks)

Dear Sir,
It may be of intrest to Brian Crossett and Loraine Wyllie (nee Reeks) that I lived at no. 9 North Lane at the time they lived there, in fact Joyce Reeks knew my mother Dorothy Bowditch extremely well and my Dad was the crane operator for Riefs.
You will probably remember me as having bright ginger hair, sadly it's more strawberry blond now!
Regards,
Andy Bowditch (West Tytherley)
