6 North Lane
Dear Sir,
My name is Stephen Clarke. I have two sisters Sandra and Sarah, my mother was Shirley Clarke and my father was Gordon Clarke. We all lived in No.6 north lane, my memory of the village is very patchy as we left West Tytherley when I was 7 years old.
My father worked at the saw mills and also at Buddens bus yard and also at the pump station at the top end, my mother worked at the laundry at the school up the lane near the house. If any one recalls the Clarke family at No.6 please get in touch, I would love to hear from you.
Many thanks,
Stephen Clarke
Dear Stephen,
I asked my mother today if she could remember your family, she said you probably knew my brother Paul, I believe we lived at no.4 north lane when you lived in the village. My brother Alistair also thinks he remembers your family, hope this is of interest to you.
Regards,
Andy Bowditch
I was born at 6 North Lane, West Tytherley. My family name is Taggert. My parents and us kids shared the house with my gran, Mrs Pragnell. My
step brother, Trevor Pragnell went into the army but later years worked at the Rief sawmill. The family moved to West Dean in 1962/63. As
I grew up I played for the West Tytherley football team at under 16 and then the Themens team where I played for many happy years with many local
lads. My father and gran are both buried at the church in Tytherley.
