I'm trying to compile a family tree for my wife, but have run in to an immediate problem in tracing her dad's parents. Not the best of starts. I have his birth certificate with both parents listed, but there are no records of his parents marriage. He was originally born in Paddington, London but was adopted and moved to West Tytherley. I don't have any records of his adopted parents, which is not helping matters.
I know this is a very long shot, but do you have any 'people' records that could possibly help? His name was Robert Finch, (no other middle names), and was born on the 20th February 1921 so I'd imagine he move to the West Tytherley area in the early 1920's - probably because his parents never married.
As you can see I don't have a lot of information to work with, so any help would be appreciated.
