The PTA at West Tytherley is well established and thriving. It enjoys the full support of the head and staff and as Nicky Atkins Chair of the PTA pointed out in our annual report 'The work of the PTA enables all of our children to enjoy and experience better facilities whilst at school'. PTA fundraising has helped provide fantastic new facilities including the computer suite, adventure playground and maths scheme. We also help with transport costs for school outings, the photocopier and book vouchers for each child at Christmas.

School Computer Suite

We organise a regular calendar of events; a childrens' Halloween disco, Christmas Bazaar, summer barbecue and more recently a sponsored cycle run (July). We also provide hospitality at the school Christmas performances, carol service and sports day. There are additional fun fundraisers like curry evenings, race nights, Easter fetes and even a Valentine disco!

We meet every four to six weeks at members' homes or at 'The Black Horse' so please feel free to attend even if it's just for one meeting. There are plenty of things for new members to do, so if you can join in at an event or have a particular skill or fundraising idea please don't hold back, just come along! And don't forget we really want you ALL to come along and enjoy yourselves at our events.
