The
school now gives the Hall £5.2k per year.
This rate has been set for 3 years.
The grant
of £8.8k has been accepted by Test Valley Borough Council.
Still waiting to hear from Hampshire County Council.
Work will
start in late July when the school holidays start.
The hall
needs to be completely cleared before work begins. The school dining hall can be used for
storage. Committee members are requested
to help with the clearance the weekend before work commences. Pat will send out an email requesting help.
Colour schemes. Sheridan, Cynthia and David to
buy some test pots to experiment with colours.
It was agreed that two colours were necessary to “reduce” the height of
the ceiling.
It was
also agreed investigating what’s underneath the paint on the stage.
Sheridan and
Cynthia attended the Hog the Limelight showcase. Cynthia will try and book the following
events: Circus workshop, Shoo Shoo baby (April 2008)
and Instant Wit (November 2007).
We were
not able to get a suitable date in December for the Christmas Panto, so Cynthia will try and book them for Jan 2008
instead. Cynthia will also try and book
them for the following Christmas.
There is
some confusion with start times on tickets.
It was decided to put an earlier start time to make sure people did not
arrive late. So, if a performance starts
at
Cabaret
(
Excellent
reports were received by everyone. The only down side being the low numbers. This could have been attributable to the
marketing and the fact that the event was during the school holidays. A big thanks to all that helped out.
A profit
of £200+ is anticipated.
