King Edward's Hall was built in the 1920s by the Singer family on their land and was originally opened as a lending library and community rooms. A billiard table was later installed. The hall was given to village immediately after World War II when the rest of the Norman Court estate was sold. A condition of the gift was that it became a registered charity. Dances and events were held in the hall on a weekly basis.
These days King Edward's
Hall still plays host to many village events. It is also available
for private functions at very competitive rates. Tables, chairs, crockery
and even cutlery can be hired. Download a booking form here
but please contact Margaret Down on 01794 340598 for availability and further
information.

The hall has recently undergone a £30k refurbishment which has funded extensive redecoration and the installation of disabled access and a disabled toilet. The building works were funded through grants, donations and fundraising.
