WHAT’S HAPPENING?

WEST TYTHERLEY DECEMBER 2001

Parish Council

Arrangements for the implementation of the grouping arrangement with Frenchmoor continue. The Borough Council will shortly be approving the arrangement, and then in the spring, there will probably be an election to appoint one further parish councillor bringing the membership of the council to 7. Anybody who lives within a 3 mile radius of Frenchmoor is eligible to stand. We hope that a resident from within Frenchmoor would enthusiastically throw their hat in the ring. The rearranged meeting for the residents of Buckholt to decide whether they wish to be grouped with West Tytherley, made no headway due to an insufficient number of residents being present to constitute a quorum. In fact there were none.

Ellen Badger’s newfound personal circumstances mean that she will be unable to continue as the parish clerk. We will be very sorry to see her go. We shall be appointing a successor in the near future.

S1ippery roads

As the winter approaches please bear in mind that so far as gritting is concerned, our roads are not a priority route. We are asked to remind you that responsibility for any road user’s safety rests primarily with the road user him/herself.
