PARISH COUNCIL
Firstly to
all those who responded to our request for comments/input on the brown infill
line issue in the last village newsletter, thanks to all four of you!!! I
wonder sometimes if anyone bothers to read this, or the Parish Council notice
boards. We are here to make sure your thoughts and views are made known to Test
Valley Borough Council. This is your chance to let us know what you do or do
not want to see happening to this village in future.
We are still
looking for a Parish Clerk for next year, if interested please make yourself
known to myself or our present Clerk David Lyon.
Finally on
behalf of your Parish Council can I wish you a merry Christmas and a healthy
new year.
Andy Bowditch, Chairman
WEST TYTHERLEY VILLAGE HALL
The autumn events got off
to a cracking start with the hall being full to bursting for the Harvest
Supper. Many thanks to all who helped and supported. It was also good to
have such a large audience for the comedy Hot Pursuit. The 10k run attracted
double the numbers of last year and compliments all round for the route,
friendliness and hospitality which should ensure even more runners next year.
Tickets are selling fast
for the Pantomime A Christmas Carol – on Saturday 23rd so get your
orders in.
Into the new year we kick
off with a workshop on Circus Skills – juggling, magic, spinning plates and
much more. Come and find your new skills and have some fun on Sunday 21st
January 10.00am - 4.00pm and only £6.00.
A change of tone for

Many thanks for everyone’s
support during the year and wishing you all a very happy Christmas.

As most of you will be aware we no longer have a resident
Community Police Officer. However, there
are various ways to contact the Police. In an emergency of course dial 999, but
for non urgent calls or enquiries Hampshire Constabulary have a central switch
board telephone number 0845-045-45-45 from which you will be transferred to the
appropriate department. More detailed information can be found in the business
listings section of The Phone Book on page 308 for Wiltshire or 309 for
Hampshire. There are Police Officers assigned to our area and the first contact
for messages should be to P.C.636 D.Turpin who operates from Romsey Police
Station for which there is a direct line number 02380-674301.
